Kingston pub opens after two years with a six-figure makeover
A popular Kingston pub has reopened for the first time since 2020 after a six-figure refurbishment.
Cornerstone on Clarence Street has undergone a complete makeover, including a brand new sports area.
Following the pandemic, the pub closed and has since been taken over by new management who hope to revitalize the pub with these renovations.
Steve Murphy, Managing Director of Cornerstone, said, “Cornerstone is the perfect home in the center of Kingston.
“Whether you’re looking to enjoy the bustle of Kingston High Street or just want to relax by the river in the sunshine, you’ll always have good food and refreshing drinks waiting in Cornerstone.
“The refurbishment has brought a vibrant new energy to the pub, and with our improved facilities and exciting new sports space, we are truly pleased to be able to offer our Kingston customers an even better drinking, dining and socializing experience.
“We look forward to welcoming new friends and old to visit Cornerstone over the next few weeks and witness the transformation for themselves – it has been totally redesigned from a Hungry Horse! ”
The pub will now offer American shuffleboard, smart darts and billiards, as well as live music and quiz nights throughout the week.
You can also enjoy classic pub fare, from steak nights to Sunday roasts.
The location means you’re right next to Kingston University London, the Rotunda and the river so you can shop and relax in the sun, especially at their new beer garden.
Cornerstone is now open and students can even get 20% off with a valid student ID.
